Weight Wise Clinic

To start our very successful program, you must make an appointment for a nutrition class at which time the details of the program will be explained. During this visit, you will fill out a medical history, have your blood pressure taken and be weighed on our special body fat analysis scale. Our scale can determine how much of your body weight is fat, water and lean muscle. This will be very useful as you lose weight for us to determine that you are losing fat and not muscle.

If you haven't had your blood glucose or cholesterol tested in the last year we suggest that you allow us to do a simple blood test. One of our nurses will take a small sample of blood from a finger stick. It only takes about two minutes to get your results.  The cost is $15.00.

Next, you will attend a class with a small group of other patients to go over the details of the program and get you started. You will be given two books, a calorie counter guide and a food diary. The cost of the class, including your books is $30.00. Your first visit will take about 1 1/2 hours.

        Before leaving, you will schedule an appointment to see Dr. Tracy. The appointment will normally be within one week after your initial visit.  Your first  visit with the doctor is $75.00 for a new patient visit. Follow up visits will be 60.00. 

    Dr. Tracy will review your medical history and BMI (body mass index, which based on your height and weight)  and at her discretion give you a prescription for one of several medications used for weight loss.

    Dr. Tracy will also determine if our Myoden Injection would be beneficial for you and if your health conditions allow you to take the injections. If you choose to take the injections they are $15.00 each. You will need to take three in the first 7-10 days to build up your level and then once per week after that. If you take any medication for weight loss you will need to see Dr. Tracy every month.

If you are not prescribed any weight loss medication, but would like to take the injections, you will need to see Dr. Tracy every three months.

    We encourage you to come in once weekly to weigh and have your blood pressure taken.
